More XMR will be rewarded. The bottom table gives a block by block breakdown of the pool PPS rewards. For each XMR block the pool share difficulty, reward, and fees before Hashback (our miner loyalty reward program) are listed. The XMR block difficulty and reward is also included as it us used when computing the PPS rewards. As mentioned above PPS rewards are computed for every XMR block. All miners that submit at least one successful share for the XMR block will receive a reward. The exact formula for the miner PPS reward for a given XMR block is as follows:reward = (minerDifficulty / blockDifficulty) * blockRewardWhere “minerDifficulty” is the total difficulty of all shares submitted by the miner while working on the XMR block. “blockDifficulty” and “blockReward” are taken from the XMR block and are viewable on any public XMR block explorer:Example XMR block from xmrchain.netTo summarize the miner PPS reward for a given XMR block is calculated by dividing the miner’s total share difficulty by the XMR block difficulty and then multiplying by the XMR block reward. To help miners track their PPS rewards a new section has been added to the “Worker Statistics” page:Example PPS Worker StatisticsThe PPS section contains the latest miner PPS reward and share difficulty as well as the averages over the last 30 XMR blocks with PPS reward graph.PPS rewards for an XMR block will be added to the miner’s “Pending Balance” a few blocks after the block is closed. This is not due to orphan blocks (which are still rewarded), but to be sure all work for a given XMR block is rewarded. Once the “Pending Balance” reaches the minumum payout for the miner (currently 0.05 XMR by default) a payout will be scheduled and included in the next round of pool payments (30 minute interval). For any miner currently mining at a PPLNS or PROP pool the switch to a PPS pool should be seemless. PPS offers the advantages that all work is rewarded equally and consistenly, regardless if blocks are found by the pool. The obvious risks rest solely on the pool operator. Please contact us with any questions or concerns, we are available on telegram. Happy Mining!
